Website & Purchase Terms

Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern access to ECU-Hub, purchases of digital products and technical services, use of ECU files and software, customer responsibilities, and the relationship between ECU-Hub and its customers.

Last updated: July 17, 2026

By accessing ECU-Hub, creating an account, placing an order, downloading a product, activating software, submitting a file, or using any ECU-Hub product or service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Agreement

About These Terms

ECU-Hub provides automotive software, ECU files, custom file services, technical consultation, selected third-party tools, and related digital products.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not place an order, download, activate, install, access, or use any ECU-Hub product or service.

Additional terms may be displayed on a product page, software license, service page, checkout page, order confirmation, or activation instruction. Those product-specific terms form part of your agreement with ECU-Hub.

Where a product-specific term directly conflicts with a general term on this page, the product-specific term will apply to that product to the extent of the conflict, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Section 1

Definitions

ECU-Hub

“ECU-Hub,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the ECU-Hub website, store, products, and services.

Customer

“Customer,” “you,” and “your” refer to any visitor, account holder, buyer, technician, workshop, company, or person using our products or services.

Digital Product

A downloadable file, ECU calibration, software program, license, tool, document, access right, or other electronically supplied item.

Service

Custom ECU file modification, consultation, installation assistance, activation support, technical review, or another service supplied by ECU-Hub.

Section 2

Eligibility and Authority

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are purchasing on behalf of a workshop, company, employer, vehicle owner, or another organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that party to these Terms.

Products involving vehicle security systems, immobilizer functions, ECU access, calibration changes, or vehicle programming may only be purchased and used by the vehicle owner or a person who has received valid authorization from the owner.

Section 3

Accounts and Guest Checkout

Eligible orders may be placed using guest checkout. Creating an account is optional unless a particular product or service requires one.

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
  • You must not share account access with unauthorized persons.
  • You must notify ECU-Hub if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
  • You are responsible for activity completed through your account unless prohibited by applicable law.

ECU-Hub may request reasonable verification before changing an email address, restoring access, resending a product, transferring a license, or disclosing order information.

Section 4

Products, Descriptions, and Availability

ECU-Hub aims to provide clear and accurate product descriptions, compatibility information, screenshots, functions, requirements, delivery terms, and pricing.

Automotive products can depend on ECU type, calibration number, software version, hardware number, vehicle configuration, operating system, device specifications, programming equipment, and other technical factors.

Customers must review the entire product page before purchasing. Images, screenshots, demonstrations, interface previews, and examples are provided to explain the product and may not represent every supported vehicle, configuration, version, or operating environment.

ECU-Hub may correct typographical errors, inaccurate information, pricing mistakes, unavailable products, or technical listing errors.

Section 5

Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected product or service. An automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or that payment has been verified.

ECU-Hub may review, reject, cancel, limit, or request additional verification for an order involving:

  • Incomplete, invalid, or unsuccessful payment.
  • Incorrect pricing or material product information.
  • Suspected fraud, abuse, manipulation, or unauthorized payment.
  • Violation of these Terms or product-specific restrictions.
  • Technical inability to provide a requested custom service.
  • Reasonable concerns about illegal or unauthorized use.

If ECU-Hub cancels a fully paid order before delivery or before custom work begins, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with the Refund Policy.

Section 6

Pricing, Payments, and Taxes

Prices and available payment methods are shown during the purchasing process. ECU-Hub may change prices, promotions, discounts, and product availability at any time before an order is completed.

The customer is responsible for any applicable bank fees, card fees, conversion fees, blockchain fees, network fees, taxes, customs-related charges, or other third-party costs unless expressly stated otherwise.

No digital product, activation, manually processed product, or custom service will be delivered or started until payment has been successfully received and verified.

Cryptocurrency Payments

Cryptocurrency payments are considered complete only when the required amount has been correctly received and the transaction can be verified. Sending an incorrect asset, using an unsupported network, sending an insufficient amount, or sending funds to an incorrect address may result in delay or permanent loss.

ECU-Hub is not responsible for blockchain congestion, wallet errors, exchange errors, incorrect networks, incorrect addresses, network fees, market fluctuations, or payment mistakes made by the customer.

Section 7

Digital Delivery and Downloads

Ready-made files clearly identified as immediately downloadable are normally made available after successful payment confirmation.

Software, licenses, tools, custom services, and products requiring manual processing may be delivered separately after review, preparation, activation, or communication with the customer.

The customer is responsible for providing a valid and accessible email address and for using the product within any stated download period or download limit.

An order is considered delivered when ECU-Hub provides access through email, the customer account, a download link, software activation, or another agreed delivery channel.

Complete delivery rules are available in our Digital Delivery & Downloads policy.

Section 8

ECU Files and Compatibility

Compatibility must be confirmed before purchase and programming.

Customers must verify all available information, including calibration number, software number, hardware number, part number, ECU type, vehicle information, file size, modification type, and any requirements stated on the product page.

An original ECU file is supplied as an unmodified file based on an original manufacturer calibration. A modified ECU file contains only the modification or solution expressly described on the applicable product page.

Purchasing a file does not mean that it is compatible with every ECU, vehicle, software version, hardware version, or programming tool.

The customer must not program a file when the identifying information does not match, appears incomplete, or raises a compatibility concern. The customer should contact ECU-Hub before programming if clarification is required.

Section 9

Custom ECU Services and Consultations

01

Required Information

The customer must provide the original file, correct ECU and vehicle information, the requested solution, and any additional technical information reasonably required.

02

Customer Authorization

By submitting a file, the customer confirms that they own it or have permission to submit, modify, and use it for the requested work.

03

Scope of Work

ECU-Hub is responsible only for the solution or modification expressly agreed with the customer. Additional work may require a separate order or fee.

04

Completion Time

Any stated completion time is an estimate unless expressly confirmed as a guaranteed deadline. Complex files or incomplete information may require additional time.

A custom service is based on the file and instructions supplied by the customer. ECU-Hub is not responsible for inaccurate results caused by incorrect, incomplete, corrupted, previously modified, or incompatible customer-supplied files or information.

Section 10

Software, Tools, and License Terms

Software terms may differ from one product to another. The applicable product page determines the license duration, device allowance, activation method, transfer rules, update coverage, and support scope.

  • A software license is granted, not sold, unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • The license may be limited to one customer, computer, device, or hardware identifier.
  • Individual activation may be required before the software can be used.
  • License transfers may require approval and an additional fee.
  • Changing hardware, replacing a device, formatting a computer, or reinstalling an operating system may affect activation.
  • Updates are included only when expressly stated on the product page.
  • Small single-purpose tools may not include future feature updates.
  • Third-party software may be subject to the original developer’s additional terms.

License sharing and unauthorized distribution are prohibited.

Customers must not share activation details, license keys, protected files, accounts, software copies, download links, or device-specific access with unauthorized persons.

Reverse engineering, decompiling, bypassing activation, modifying license controls, removing ownership notices, copying protected functions, reselling, or distributing software without written permission is prohibited.

Section 11

Technical Support

Support may include product selection guidance, download assistance, installation, activation, initial setup, basic operational verification, and troubleshooting within the supported scope of the purchased product.

Support coverage may vary according to the product, developer, license, operating system, device, purchase date, product description, and technical circumstances.

Technical support does not automatically include general automotive training, repair of unrelated vehicle faults, recovery from incorrect customer procedures, support for unsupported equipment, development of additional functions, or unlimited remote assistance.

The customer must cooperate reasonably by providing accurate information, screenshots, logs, files, device details, error messages, and remote access when voluntarily agreed and reasonably necessary.

Section 12

Lawful and Authorized Use

ECU-Hub products and services may only be used for lawful, authorized, and technically appropriate automotive work.

The customer confirms that they are the lawful vehicle owner, an authorized technician, or a person who has valid permission from the owner to perform the requested work.

Products relating to immobilizers, security systems, ECU access, vehicle identification, programming, or protected vehicle functions must not be used to steal a vehicle, gain unauthorized access, conceal ownership, alter identifying information unlawfully, bypass security without authorization, or facilitate criminal activity.

ECU-Hub may refuse assistance, suspend access, cancel an undelivered order, or request proof of ownership or authorization when misuse is suspected.

Section 13

Customer and Programmer Technical Responsibility

ECU programming can cause vehicle, ECU, software, electrical, or mechanical problems when performed incorrectly.

Correct Equipment

The customer must use suitable, supported, properly functioning reading, writing, programming, diagnostic, and recovery equipment.

Stable Power

The customer must maintain appropriate and stable voltage for the vehicle, ECU, computer, and programming equipment throughout the process.

Original Backup

A complete and verified original backup must be created and stored securely before writing or modifying an ECU whenever technically possible.

File Verification

The customer must verify file identity, size, calibration, hardware, software, checksum requirements, and compatibility before use.

Safe Procedure

The customer must follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and use the correct reading, writing, connection, boot, bench, OBD, and recovery procedure.

Qualified User

Products should only be used by a person with the knowledge, equipment, authorization, and experience required to complete the work safely.

The programmer remains responsible for the final operation.

The customer or technician must inspect the vehicle, confirm that it is mechanically and electrically suitable, monitor the programming process, test the result safely, review diagnostic faults, and restore the original file when required.

ECU-Hub is not responsible for incorrect flashing, interrupted writing, low voltage, damaged hardware, corrupted reads, unsuitable tools, incorrect connections, unsupported recovery procedures, or failure to retain an original backup.

Section 15

Prohibited Conduct

You must not use ECU-Hub, its products, files, software, services, or systems to:

  • Perform illegal, fraudulent, unauthorized, unsafe, or harmful activity.
  • Access, program, unlock, modify, or interfere with a vehicle without authorization.
  • Facilitate vehicle theft, fraud, odometer manipulation, identity alteration, or concealment of ownership.
  • Disable, bypass, or alter legally required systems in violation of applicable law.
  • Distribute malware, harmful code, corrupted files, or unauthorized software.
  • Share, resell, copy, publish, leak, or redistribute protected products or download links.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, extract, clone, or bypass software protection.
  • Use automated systems to scrape, copy, download, index, or extract ECU-Hub content without permission.
  • Attack, overload, probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the website, accounts, servers, or payment systems.
  • Submit false payment claims, fraudulent chargebacks, or false claims of non-delivery.
  • Misrepresent your identity, authority, vehicle ownership, technical qualifications, or purchase information.
  • Remove trademarks, copyright notices, license information, or ownership markings.
Section 16

Intellectual Property

The ECU-Hub name, branding, website design, software, interfaces, databases, tools, graphics, product descriptions, documentation, screenshots, code, workflows, downloadable materials, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Purchasing a product gives the customer only the limited usage rights stated on the relevant product page or license. It does not transfer ownership of ECU-Hub intellectual property or grant a right to copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the product.

Third-party names, trademarks, software, files, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Customer-Submitted Materials

By submitting an ECU file, log, screenshot, document, or technical information, the customer grants ECU-Hub a limited permission to access, process, modify, test, store, and return that material only as reasonably necessary to deliver the requested service, provide support, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

Section 17

Refunds and Purchase Finality

Because digital products can be accessed, copied, activated, or used after delivery, digital purchases are generally final once access has been provided or custom work has begun.

Refund eligibility, non-refundable situations, technical review, replacements, approved refund methods, and payment disputes are governed by our Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

Section 18

Warranties and Disclaimers

ECU-Hub aims to supply products and services that materially correspond with their published descriptions. However, except for rights and warranties that cannot legally be excluded, products and services are provided on an “as available” basis and within the scope stated on the applicable product page.

ECU-Hub does not guarantee:

  • Compatibility with every vehicle, ECU, tool, computer, operating system, hardware version, or software environment.
  • That every function will meet the customer’s individual expectations or workflow.
  • Continuous, uninterrupted, permanently available, or error-free website or software operation.
  • A particular power, torque, fuel economy, speed, emissions, or performance result.
  • That a product will correct unrelated mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, wiring, sensor, actuator, or hardware faults.
  • That a modification will preserve a vehicle warranty, insurance coverage, inspection status, registration, road legality, or manufacturer support.
  • That third-party products will remain available, supported, updated, or compatible indefinitely.

Vehicle results may differ according to mechanical condition, previous modifications, fuel quality, hardware, environmental conditions, maintenance, ECU version, programming method, and other factors outside ECU-Hub’s control.

Section 19

Limitation of Liability

Technical work is performed at the customer’s responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ECU-Hub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from the purchase, download, installation, programming, modification, or use of a product or service.

This may include loss of profit, revenue, business, customers, data, files, licenses, vehicle use, workshop time, towing expenses, recovery costs, diagnostic costs, replacement ECU costs, mechanical damage, electrical damage, inspection failure, warranty loss, or third-party claims.

ECU-Hub is not responsible for loss or damage caused by customer error, incorrect information, incompatible files, unsafe procedures, unsupported equipment, interrupted programming, low voltage, hardware failure, malware on the customer’s device, third-party software, unlawful use, or failure to maintain a valid original backup.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, ECU-Hub’s total aggregate liability relating to a particular product or service will, to the maximum extent permitted by law, not exceed the amount actually paid to ECU-Hub for that specific product or service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Section 20

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, penalties, costs, or expenses resulting from your unlawful or unauthorized use of ECU-Hub products, violation of these Terms, infringement of another party’s rights, fraudulent activity, or submission of materials you were not authorized to use.

This section does not require a consumer to indemnify ECU-Hub for loss caused solely by ECU-Hub’s own unlawful conduct where such an obligation would be prohibited by law.

Section 21

Suspension and Termination

ECU-Hub may suspend or terminate accounts, download access, software licenses, technical support, or future service where reasonably necessary to address:

  • Violation of these Terms or product-specific terms.
  • Fraud, chargeback abuse, payment reversal, or false non-delivery claims.
  • License sharing, unauthorized distribution, or resale.
  • Illegal, unauthorized, unsafe, or harmful product use.
  • Threats, harassment, abusive conduct, or deliberate interference with support.
  • Security risks, malware, attacks, scraping, or unauthorized system access.
  • Requests that may facilitate theft, fraud, or unlawful vehicle access.

Suspension or termination does not remove payment obligations, license restrictions, intellectual property obligations, liability provisions, or other clauses intended to continue after termination.

Section 22

Privacy and Data Processing

ECU-Hub processes personal information, order information, account details, technical information, uploaded files, payment-related records, and support communications as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payment providers, analytics services, hosting providers, communication services, security tools, and other service providers may process information under their own privacy terms.

Section 23

Third-Party Products, Links, and Services

ECU-Hub may sell, recommend, link to, integrate with, or provide assistance for products and services developed or operated by third parties.

Third-party products may be subject to separate license terms, activation systems, privacy policies, update policies, support conditions, system requirements, availability, and restrictions determined by their respective developers.

ECU-Hub does not control third-party websites, payment processors, blockchain networks, operating systems, antivirus products, remote access tools, programming hardware, or external software platforms.

Use of a third-party service is also subject to that provider’s terms. ECU-Hub is not responsible for independent changes, outages, restrictions, discontinuation, or actions of a third-party provider, except to the extent required by applicable law.

Section 24

Complaints, Disputes, and Governing Law

Customers should first contact ECU-Hub and provide the relevant order, payment, delivery, and technical information so that the issue can be reviewed directly.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the legal entity operating ECU-Hub, without excluding any mandatory consumer protection that applies to the customer and cannot legally be waived.

Where legally permitted, disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which the ECU-Hub operating entity is registered or established.

Nothing in this section removes a consumer’s right to use a mandatory court, complaint process, or remedy available under applicable law.

Section 25

Changes to These Terms

ECU-Hub may update these Terms to reflect changes in products, services, technology, payment methods, legal requirements, security practices, or business operations.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes apply from the stated effective date and do not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen under mandatory law.

Continued use of ECU-Hub after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms for future use and purchases.

Section 26

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, the product page, Refund Policy, Digital Delivery & Downloads policy, Privacy Policy, and applicable product-specific terms form the agreement relating to the purchase.

Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No Waiver

A delay or failure by ECU-Hub to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

Assignment

Customers may not transfer their agreement, account, order, or license unless expressly permitted. ECU-Hub may transfer its rights as part of a lawful business transfer or restructuring.

Electronic Communications

You agree that order confirmations, invoices, delivery information, activation details, policy notices, and support communications may be provided electronically.

Language

Where translations are provided, the English version will control to the extent permitted by law if there is a material inconsistency.

Section 27

Contact ECU-Hub

Questions about these Terms, an order, a product, authorized use, or a technical issue should be submitted through our official Contact Us page.

Please include the order number, purchasing email address, product name, and relevant technical information when contacting us about an existing purchase.

Mandatory legal rights remain protected.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or override a consumer right, legal remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If an applicable mandatory law provides greater protection than these Terms, that mandatory law will take precedence to the required extent.
